Role Title: Senior DevOps Engineer
Location: On-site in Atlanta, GA | Full-time, Permanent Position

Role Summary:
We're on the lookout for an experienced DevOps professional to take charge of building and maintaining robust, cloud-native infrastructure within a large-scale AWS environment. In this role, you'll champion infrastructure automation, enforce security best practices, and support engineering teams through streamlined CI/CD processes and continuous deployment strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cloud Architecture Oversight: Lead efforts around designing, deploying, and maintaining cloud infrastructure (AWS) that is both secure and scalable.

  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Build and maintain automation for deployment, configuration, and provisioning using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and AWS-native templates.

  • Performance Monitoring & Resource Optimization: Establish monitoring systems and alerting mechanisms to detect issues early, and continuously review resource usage for potential improvements in efficiency and cost.

  • Cloud Security: Implement best practices in cloud security — including access management, data encryption, and secure networking protocols.

  • Development Collaboration: Work closely with engineering teams to embed CI/CD practices and support rapid, stable deployments.

  • Technical Documentation: Maintain clear, thorough documentation for infrastructure and DevOps processes to support internal knowledge sharing.

  • Problem Resolution: Dive into complex issues, resolve incidents, and provide hands-on technical support.

  • Scalability & Planning: Evaluate usage trends and proactively prepare infrastructure to handle increased demand.

  • Tech Evolution: Keep up with cloud industry trends and AWS innovations, recommending enhancements where applicable.

What You Bring to the Team:

  • 5–7 years of experience working in DevOps or AWS-centric engineering roles.

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent practical experience.

  • Strong development background with proficiency in scripting and programming languages (Python, Bash, Java, Go, JavaScript, etc.).

  • AWS certifications (e.g., DevOps Engineer, Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator) are strongly preferred.

  • Deep understanding of core AWS offerings including but not limited to EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, IAM, ECS, VPC, and CloudWatch.

  • Hands-on experience with IaC tools like CloudFormation or Terraform.

  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes is beneficial.

  • Expertise in CI/CD tooling, particularly GitHub Actions.

  • Solid grounding in networking fundamentals, cloud security frameworks, and performance optimization.

  • Ability to communicate effectively across technical and non-technical audiences and thrive in team-oriented environments.

Compensation & Requirements:

  • Salary Range: $160,000 – $180,000 annually, based on experience

  • Bonus Potential: 10% annual bonus

  • Candidates must be local to Atlanta and authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship — this role does not offer visa support.
