We are looking for a Senior Consultant Cloud Engineering (all genders) for our data studio Berlin with deep cloud expertise to design, build, and operate scalable, secure, and production-grade cloud platforms. This is a hands-on engineering role with real ownership over cloud architecture, automation, and operational excellence.
You will work closely with engineering teams and stakeholders to deliver reliable cloud solutions, improve productivity, and continuously optimize performance, security, and cost.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

• You will provide technical leadership, architectural guidance, and best practices to engineers and clients.

• You will troubleshoot complex production issues across infrastructure, networking, and applications.

• You will deploy, debug, and execute project activities related to cloud computing for e.g. CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure validation, application validations.

• You will design, develop, and maintain cloud-based systems, ensuring efficient data storage, observability, security policies, compliance, access mechanisms.

• You will make recommendations for performance and cost optimization for activities related to cloud in the project.

• You will modify, improve and develop applications compatible with existing and / or new cloud infrastructure.

• You ensure high availability, disaster recovery and quality documentation.

• You will also interact with stakeholders to understand their needs and make recommendations based on it.

• You will educate and support other engineers on the implementation of new cloud technologies and initiatives.

WHAT YOU BRING ALONG

Must-haves:

• Completed degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent qualification and proven working experience as Cloud Engineer, Cloud Developer, DevOps Engineer or similar.

• Proven experience in planning, implementing and managing Azure infrastructures.

• Experience in stakeholder management and direct client contact.

• Experience in providing technical leadership and advising clients on technical concepts.

• Deep understanding of Azure services such as Virtual Machines, Azure SQL Database, Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure Active Directory, etc.

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform, ARM templates) and CI/CD pipelines.

• Knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash.

• Strong knowledge of cloud security concepts and best practices.

• AWS, Azure or GCP certifications are a plus.

Nice-to-haves:

• Azure (or AWS/GCP) certifications.

• Experience with observability tooling (Azure Monitor, Grafana, etc.).

• Experience with multi-environment or multi-tenant cloud platforms.

• FinOps or cost-optimization experience.
