We are hiring an Azure Cloud Database Expert to design, manage, and optimize cloud-based databases using Terraform, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Entra, and Azure Monitor. The role involves modernizing database infrastructure, implementing automation, and ensuring high availability and security across Azure database services. This role is not limited only to database technologies, you are required to be a Terraform Expert.

Key Responsibilities:
Database Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Automate database provisioning and configuration using Terraform.
Azure Database Management: Design, deploy, and optimize Azure SQL Database, Cosmos DB, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and NoSQL solutions.
Database Performance & Optimization: Monitor query performance, indexing strategies, and cost management.
Security & IAM: Implement Microsoft Entra-based access control (RBAC, Managed Identities, MFA, Conditional Access).
Backup & Disaster Recovery: Define and implement automated database backup strategies using Azure-native tools.
Observability & Monitoring: Set up Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and KQL for database health monitoring and anomaly detection.
Data Governance & Compliance: Implement data encryption, auditing, and GDPR compliance frameworks.
CI/CD for Databases: Build and integrate database release automation using Azure DevOps.

Key Skills & Qualifications:
Strong demonstrable experience in Azure database technologies
Deep expertise in Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and NoSQL databases Proficient in Terraform for database automation
Strong understanding of database indexing, query optimization, and partitioning Experience in Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Kusto Query Language (KQL)
Knowledge of Microsoft Entra (Azure AD) for database security
Experience with Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, and ETL pipelines Strong programming skills in T-SQL, PowerShell, Python
