About the Role

We are seeking aSenior Azure Cloud Engineer to design, build, and optimize large-scale, high-performance cloud infrastructure that underpins our advanced AI and data platforms. The ideal candidate will possess broad expertise acrossAzure cloud and AI servicesand a proven ability to architect robust, secure, and scalable solutions in multi-tenant environments. This role demands deep technical acumen inAzure capabilitiesand related services, coupled with strong proficiency inInfrastructure as Code (IaC)to drive automation and operational excellence. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, enterprise-grade cloud solutions that accelerate our Azure initiatives and support the continued evolution of our global platform. 

****Position is HYBRID in Raleigh, NC office 3 days a week 

Requirements: 

  • Architect and manage Azure infrastructure to support large-scale AI workloads, including Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Azure Machine Learning, and other Azure services. 

  • Build and operate Infrastructure as Code (IaC) frameworks using Terraform, Powershell, and Azure DevOps for automated provisioning of Azure services. 

  • Knowledge of source code management best practices utilizing Azure DevOps with migration experience to Github and Github Actions. 

  • Design and implement networking, storage, and security architectures that ensure scalability, performance, and compliance for AI systems. 

  • Integrate and manage Azure Services for high-performance AI application delivery. 

  • Drive site reliability engineering (SRE) practices to enhance uptime, resilience, and operational insight across the AI platform. 

  • Lead architectural reviews, provide technical mentorship, and contribute to continuous improvement of infrastructure best practices. 

  • Stay ahead of emerging trends in Azure, AI infrastructure, and LLM operations to ensure our platform remains cutting-edge and cost-effective. 

  • Proficient in utilizing artificial intelligence tools within daily workflows, including ChatGPT, CoPilot, Claude Code, and others. 

 


Responsibilities: 

  • Ability to manage cross-functional projects involving architecture reviews, build process enhancements, and pipeline improvements. 

  • Design and implement Azure infrastructure solutions with a focus on AI capabilities within Azure. 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI capabilities into existing and new applications. 

  • Optimize and manage the performance, scalability, and security of Azure infrastructure. 

  • Develop and maintain solution documentation for infrastructure design, configuration, and best practices. 

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to the AI platform. 

  • Drive the deployment and management of the AI platform by leveraging Infrastructure as Code practices through Azure DevOps automation pipelines. 

  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and team members. Must assist other team members with technical issues and pair program with other team members, fostering collaboration and continuous learning across the team.

U.S. National Base Pay Range: $95,300 - $158,800. Geographic differentials may apply in some locations to better reflect local market rates. This job is eligible for an annual incentive bonus.
