I am on a mission to build and strengthen our engineering teams to match the accelerating success of Street Context. We provide a premium Email, Analytics and Broker Relationship platform, purpose-built for capital markets and institutional investors. Street Context has charted a course to:
● Scale our system to meet increasing global demand
● Meet regulatory compliance requirements in new regional markets
● Productionalize and roll-out new market-validated features
I am seeking a Senior AWS Cloud Engineer. I encourage you to apply if:
- You have strong AWS experience: You have worked with developers to meet their infrastructure needs in an AWS environment. You have experience with different types of system topologies, include monolithic applications, and event-driven microservices. You have the expertise to provide insight into issues that could arise from specific architectures and AWS services.
- You have strong Terraform experience: You have worked with Terraform for over 3 years. You can read, understand, change and improve existing Terraform code. You can leverage existing Terraform registry repos, especially concerning event driven architectures.
- You can drive value from observability tools: You can leverage Datadog and other tools or strategies to reduce MTTR.
- You are security conscious: You promote least-privilege. You understand privilege escalation, IAMs, conditionals, AWS SSO and SAML Integration. You know Okta. You empower teams to monitor their systems for vulnerabilities.
- You focus on building trust: You can become a trusted member of the scrum team and providing value within the first sprint.
- You are dynamic: You embrace change. You can "wear many hats", and you excel at serving internal customers.
- Most importantly, you empower developers: You empower teams through education, tooling, access and mentorship. This frees you to focus on solving tough cloud engineering problems.
For this role, you must have the following:
- 3+ years of Terraform experience.
- 3+ years of Datadog experience, and your experience must be recent and include infrastructure, security, APM, and logging.
- 5+ years of AWS experience, leveraging the common services as well as exposure to event driven solutions.
- 10+ years of IT industry experience.
- You've come up through various roles, having worked with virtualization, Linux, middleware, Java stacks and been exposed to multiple technology stacks and solutions.
Finally, in-office collaboration is integral to our team dynamic and company culture. We seek candidates who will enthusiastically embrace this aspect of our work environment, valuing the opportunities it presents for team bonding, collaboration, and innovation.
I am personally looking forward to connecting with you! Apply now to continue our conversation and learn how you can become part of the Street Context team. Also, I am open to informal introductions at any tech Meetups in Toronto. I’ll let you know which ones I will be attending via LinkedIn. I invite you to follow me to keep up-to-date.
Take-care,
Matthew Hilchie
