REMOTE - Azure DevOps Engineer

Flexion is looking for an Azure DevOps Engineer for an enterprise level application development project.

What the job looks like: 

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer with strong Azure expertise who can also contribute to feature development. In this role, you must possess excellent problem-solving skills and technical knowledge with a strong aptitude for appreciating the focus, scope, and impact of your work in a much wider and forward-looking software landscape. We engage in frequent interdisciplinary pairing and mobbing in Zoom or similar tools. It is important to use test-driven development with full code coverage. The team engages in fully transparent, open-source development.

You have: 

• Worked in an Agile environment (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)

• 8+ years of combined Application Development/DevOps/Infrastructure Automation experience

• Experience in the following is needed (Azure required): Cloud Compute, Cloud Storage, Cloud Logging, Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Networking, Cloud Database Integration, and Identity Management

• Experience in automating Cloud Platform infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, etc.)

• Strong development experience in at least one modern programming language such as Type Script, JavaScript, Java, C#, GoLang, etc.

• Experience in security aspects of cloud infrastructure, vulnerability scanning and remediation, threat modeling & detection, static and dynamic testing, security documentation.

• Engineering experience with security, monitoring and analysis tools such as Veracode, Snyk, SonarQube, NewRelic, Nessus, etc.

• Experience building, testing, and deploying applications with a team using CI/CD principles

• A willingness to pair and mob with other developers and other team members daily

• Superb time-management, communication, and problem-solving skills

Nice to have knowledge and experience:

• Developing using Test-Driven Development

• Experience building ReSTful APIs

• Experience with automated unit testing, integration, and end to end testing

• Continuous Integration on a FedRAMP moderated system experience
