We are seeking a hands-on Principal DevOps Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of our cloud infrastructure and CI/CD systems. You will work closely with engineering, product, and security teams to ensure our SaaS platform is secure, scalable, and highly available. Working closely with the VP of Engineering to define architecture, vision, and process related to all aspects of the BlackCloak platform including building out the DevOps roadmap. You will also be responsible for day-to-day tactical infrastructure evolution and management and project execution - you need to be delivering actionable code and flows every day.

What you will do

    • Lead the architecture, development, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure ensuring scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency.
    • Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to accelerate software delivery with a focus on automation, security, and quality.
    • Oversee containerization and orchestration strategies (Docker, Kubernetes or similar technologies) in production environments.
    • Drive best practices for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar.
    • Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure high availability and quick incident response.
    • Create scripts to automate operational tasks & incorporate the solutions into infrastructureCollaborate with development teams to improve application performance, scalability, and deployment workflows.
    • Lead the code deployment process to production environments.
    • Mentor and guide other DevOps engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and operational excellence.

What you need to be successful

    • 10+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Cloud Infrastructure Engineering in SaaS environments.
    • Strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or AWS cloud architecture, services, and best practices.
    • Proven experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, CircleCI) and zero downtime strategies.
    • Deep knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes for building, deploying, and managing containerized applications at scale.
    • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, or Ansible.
    • Strong skills in monitoring and observability using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Datadog.
    • Familiarity with security best practices for cloud-native applications and infrastructure.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex distributed systems.
    • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to influence cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
$170,000 - $190,000 a year
Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including but not limited to geographic location as well as candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
