This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Platform Engineering Manager in the United States.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a high-impact engineering team responsible for the company’s platform foundation. You will oversee cloud infrastructure, DevOps practices, developer experience, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) initiatives, ensuring scalability, reliability, and operational excellence. As a hands-on manager, you will mentor engineers, drive the adoption of modern engineering practices like Continuous Delivery, and empower product teams to self-serve and take ownership of their services. This position balances technical leadership with strategic influence, providing the chance to shape the engineering culture, optimize developer productivity, and directly contribute to innovative platform solutions. Collaboration, empathy, and a results-driven mindset are essential to succeed in this fast-paced, largely remote environment.

Accountabilities

·         Lead and mentor the Platform Engineering team, including Cloud Infrastructure, DevOps, Developer Experience, and SRE functions.

·         Develop and execute the platform strategy in alignment with company goals and technical roadmap.

·         Design, implement, and manage scalable, reliable, and secure cloud infrastructure (Azure).

·         Advance DevOps practices and Continuous Delivery, including CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and automated testing.

·         Enhance developer experience by providing tools, frameworks, and processes to enable efficient software delivery.

·         Establish SRE capabilities, including monitoring, incident management, and tracking key SLOs/SLAs to ensure high system reliability.

·         Collaborate closely with product teams to empower autonomy and ownership of services.

·         Ensure security, compliance, and operational excellence across all platform components.

·         Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and technical innovation.



Requirements

·         7+ years of experience in software or systems engineering.

·         3+ years in a leadership role managing platform, DevOps, or SRE teams.

·         Hands-on experience with cloud technologies, preferably Azure.

·         Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.

·         Strong knowledge of DevOps principles, CI/CD, automated testing, and configuration management.

·         Experience with SRE principles, including monitoring, alerting, and incident management.

·         Proven ability to build and scale high-performance, highly available platforms.

·         Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

·         Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams while managing multiple priorities.

·         Strong time management, multitasking, and organizational skills.
