We are seeking a Microsoft Azure Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and manage secure cloud solutions for federal IT environments. This role supports Azure infrastructure, automation, and security, leveraging DevOps best practices to optimize performance, security, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
Architect, design, and deploy secure, scalable Microsoft Azure cloud solutions for federal environments
Implement automation using Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep to streamline infrastructure deployment
Enhance CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or related tools
Optimize cloud performance, cost, and security by implementing best practices in monitoring, logging, and infrastructure optimization
Ensure compliance with NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, FISMA, and other federal cybersecurity frameworks
Manage Azure infrastructure, including networking, identity management, virtual machines, and security policies
Lead Agile development practices as a Scrum Master, facilitating sprint planning, retrospectives, and Agile ceremonies
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including security, development, and operations, to enhance cloud environments
Provide leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence
Required Qualifications & Skills:
US Citizenship.
Active Secret/Top Secret Security Clearance.
6+ years of experience in Microsoft Azure cloud engineering and DevOps.
Strong experience in Azure infrastructure design, deployment, and automation.
Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep.
Proven experience with CI/CD pipeline automation and DevOps workflows.
Knowledge of federal cloud security standards, including FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, and FISMA.
Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
Experience with Azure networking, security, identity management (Azure AD), and monitoring.
Strong leadership skills and ability to mentor junior engineers.
Must be able to work on-site in Washington, DC.Β
Preferred:
Azure Certifications, such as AZ-104, AZ-400, AZ-305.
Experience working in federal IT environments.
Familiarity with hybrid cloud architectures and on-premises integrations.
Experience in cloud cost optimization and FinOps best practices.
