We are seeking a skilled Platform Engineer to design, implement, and optimize cloud-based solutions on Azure and Databricks. In this role, you will drive innovation across cloud architectures, ensuring scalable, secure, and high-performing platforms that meet business objectives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, provide technical guidance, and lead initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and reliability. This position is ideal for a proactive engineer who thrives in dynamic, cloud-focused environments and enjoys solving complex technical challenges while advancing enterprise platform capabilities.
Accountabilities
- Design, implement, and optimize Azure cloud architecture solutions aligned with business and IT strategies.
- Develop and maintain Databricks workspaces and platform services to ensure high performance, reliability, and security.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement automated CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Terraform and Terragrunt.
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members and stakeholders across projects.
- Evaluate cloud platform reliability, performance, and compliance, recommending enhancements where necessary.
- Communicate technical priorities and deliverables effectively to IT and business stakeholders.
- Engage with vendors and third-party providers to manage service agreements and ensure successful project delivery.
Requirements- Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Azure Cloud Services, Databricks, and related technologies.
- Expertise in Azure PaaS Services, Azure Data Platform, Azure Active Directory, and Azure Monitor.
- Proficiency in cloud architecture design, DevOps automation, and orchestration tools (Terraform, Terragrunt).
- Intermediate to advanced programming skills in two or more languages such as Scala, Python, PowerShell, GraphQL, .NET, or C#.
- Strong communication skills and ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Preferred: familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF), healthcare domain knowledge, and project management experience.
- Preferred certifications: Azure Data Engineer, Azure Solution Architect, or other relevant cloud/IT certifications.
