Role: Lead DevOps Engineer
Contract Length: 6 months
Location: London
IR35: Inside
Pay Rate to Intermediary: Market Rate

Spinwell is recruiting for a Lead DevOps Engineer for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE LEAD DEVOPS ENGINEER

• Testing and deploying product updates.
• Identifying and resolving issues.
• Implementing integrations.
• Improving automation and monitoring.
• Provide team and project leadership to ensure standards are met.
• Work with developers and engineers to ensure that software development follows established processes and works as intended
• Maintain and update processes as required.
• Ensure personal and team workload is effectively managed, prioritised and issues are escalated to line management as necessary.
• Ensure adherence to required polices standards, controls and best practice.
• Create, maintain and review technical documentation to ensure all services are maintained and knowledge is shared.
• Proactively monitor DevOps environments to help prevent issues arising.
• Proactively drive continuous improvement across the DevOps pipeline.
• Assist in mentoring and developing the team.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE OF THE LEAD DEVOPS ENGINEER

• A Level 6 qualification in a relevant engineering discipline, or a lesser qualification with significant relevant and demonstrable previous experience.
• Nuclear Introductory Course
• System safety Awareness
• System Safety in Action (SSIA)
• Safety & Environmental Management (SEMT)
• 4 years’ experience in a maritime post.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience of submarine specific structures.
