Platform Architecture Design and Strategy:
- Contribute to the design and development of our organization's AWS platform infrastructure, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define the platform architecture strategy aligned with business goals and future growth plans.
- Architect and deploy AWS services, such as S3, Lambda, EKS, IAM, and others, to meet the organization's platform requirements.
Team Leadership and Collaboration:
- Provide technical leadership to the AWS platform engineering team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Mentor and coach team members, promoting their professional growth, and guiding them in implementing best practices and architectural principles.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, infrastructure professionals, and stakeholders, to ensure cohesive platform architecture and alignment with business needs.
Platform Infrastructure Management and Optimization:
- Oversee the management and optimization of our organization's AWS platform infrastructure, monitoring and proactively addressing performance, scalability, and availability concerns.
- Implement automation and infrastructure-as-code principles to streamline platform provisioning, improve operational efficiency, and reduce human error.
- Continuously optimize AWS platform resources to ensure cost-effectiveness, performance, and reliability based on business demands.
Platform Security and Compliance:
- Establish and enforce AWS security best practices, ensuring the protection of sensitive data and compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
- Collaborate with the cybersecurity team to identify and mitigate potential security risks on the AWS platform.
- Stay updated with AWS security enhancements and implement necessary measures to maintain a secure platform environment.
Technical Strategy and Innovation:
- Stay informed about the latest AWS services, tools, and best practices, evaluating their applicability to our organization's platform requirements.
- Drive technical strategies, recommending and implementing improvements to the AWS platform architecture and processes.
- Foster a culture of innovation and knowledge-sharing within the team, encouraging exploration and adoption of new AWS features and functionalities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in architecting, designing, engineering, and managing AWS platform infrastructure in a production environment.
- In-depth knowledge of AWS services and technologies, such as S3, Lambda, EKS, IAM, and others.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure-as-code principles and experience with relevant tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) for automating resource provisioning.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, PowerShell, or Bash for automation purposes.
- Solid understanding of security best practices for AWS, including IAM and network security.
- Experience with deployment and orchestration technologies such as Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to address complex platform infrastructure issues.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
