Description

GXM Consulting is seeking a DevSecOps Lead to provide senior-level engineering support for the secure delivery of cloud-based and on-premises enterprise software systems. This role combines leadership in DevOps toolchains, infrastructure automation, system hardening, and compliance to ensure mission systems are deployed securely and reliably. The DevSecOps Lead will architect, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines, configuration management frameworks, and container orchestration environments, while collaborating closely with developers, testers, and cybersecurity stakeholders to enforce end-to-end security and performance standards. The DevSecOps lead will manage a team and provide reporting to program leadership. This position is Local, On-site/Hybrid, with Ad-Hoc Telework Possible. 

Requirements
  • U.S. Citizenship and an active DoD Secret clearance.
  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree or High School Degree + 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Minimum 12 years of IT experience, including 8+ years in DevSecOps or systems engineering roles.
  • Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools and techniques (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Experience deploying services to major cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Strong background in Linux systems administration and securing cloud-based environments.
  • Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and containerized application delivery.
  • Familiarity with RMF processes, security compliance frameworks, and vulnerability remediation.
  • Ability to speak in front of groups.

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related technical field.
  • Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
  • Experience integrating automated security scans into build and deployment workflows.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, ELK, Grafana, Splunk).
  • Experience bridging legacy system environments with modern DevSecOps practices.
  • Prior work supporting government or compliance-bound software environments.
