About the role

We are looking for a skilled and experienced DevOps Mainframe to join a leading global provider of Treasury products and services for banks. As a Software Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our mainframe systems, ensuring the smooth operation of our software infrastructure, and supporting various platforms. Your role will include administering CICS, working with middleware and networking technologies, and supporting multiple operating systems.

What will you do?

As a Software Infrastructure Engineer, you will oversee and manage mainframe systems, focusing on COBOL and DB2. You will ensure the smooth operation and high performance of the CICS environment. Your role will include administering middleware and networking components, such as MQ, VSAM, WebSphere, and WebLogic.

You will regularly monitor system performance and conduct routine maintenance to prevent issues. In case of any system problems, you will quickly diagnose and resolve them to minimize downtime. You will collaborate with team members to ensure the successful completion of projects and support tasks. Providing top-notch service to users, you will address their needs and concerns promptly and effectively.

Knowledge and Experience

• Demonstrated working knowledge as a mainframe system administrator.
• At least 5 years of experience working in a CICS environment, showcasing expertise and proficiency.
• Familiarity with middleware and networking technologies, including MQ, TCP/IP, LE, VTAM, VSAM, RACF, WebSphere, and WebLogic.
• Working knowledge of AIX, Linux, and Windows operating systems, is an advantage.
