DevOps engineer (m/f/d) with strong technical expertise in CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation and cloud platforms ID26168-0

Project duration: 04/25 - 09/25
Project volume: 850 hrs remote, 150 hrs onsite
Project location: Remote, Essen


Key Responsibilities:
• Design and maintain continuous integration/continuous deployment pipelines to automate code testing and deployment.
• Track software performance, fix errors, troubleshoot systems, implement preventive measures for smooth workflows, and build automated processes.
• Optimize cloud resources and implement cost-effective solutions.
• Implement and manage infrastructure using code rather than manual processes, using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) management.
• Collaborate between teams to resolve issues quickly and deploy new features smoothly.
• Monitor and create new processes based on performance analysis.
• Manage the software development process and implement configuration management tools.
• Automate repetitive tasks to improve team efficiency.
• Implement security best practices, including automated compliance checks and secure code deployment.

Competences:
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools.
• Good experience in infrastructure as code tools.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools.
• Knowledge of secure coding and Agile software product development techniques.
• Experience in the operations of modern cloud infrastructure such as Docker, Kubernetes.
• Good to have ETRM/Energy domain background

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with MS SQL server / Oracle DB technologies.
• Knowledge of different vendors’ DevOps products, pros & cons of industry DevOps


Market Dynamics
Aim of Market Dynamics (MD) is to develop an integrated portfolio optimization function. MD brings a new Retail and Energy Market operating model and builds on 'One team', stronger interfaces and harmonized risk governance
Functional changes in EM NL/UK information flow required for Market Dynamics:
• EMDP footprint enhanced by introduction of Portal for applying hedge path, calculating VWAP HOP, and calculating Transfer Price
• New component introduced for portfolio and position management (Evolio), reducing Allegro Horizon footprint as well as replacing HPT and HEX
• Exxeta/Trayport, order entry for RPM changed, RPM to GPM will go through Evolio, and RPM – T&O will require manual entry into Exxeta
• Decommissioning of legacy applications including TRMTracker, SQT, CLAP

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with configuration management tools, a solid understanding of DevOps practices, and a working knowledge of internal backend systems. They should be able to coordinate and bridge gaps between the software development and operation teams, ensuring a smooth workflow.
