The ServiceNow Platform team at Banner Health is part of the Digital Business Technology organization and supports operational and corporate teams across the enterprise. The team focuses on building and supporting employee-focused digital solutions that streamline workflows, improve service delivery, and enhance how Banner teams interact with technology. By partnering closely with internal departments and business leaders, the ServiceNow Platform team designs and maintains scalable, secure, and reliable solutions that help Banner operate efficiently. This work supports the systems and processes that enable caregivers and staff to focus on delivering high-quality patient care.
As a ServiceNow Developer, your day centers on working within a project team to analyze, design, configure, implement, and support platform solutions that span applications, integrations, and enterprise services. You’ll collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, QA, and other IT functional areas to deliver well-designed solutions, resolve application and configuration issues, and implement approved changes that drive continual service improvement. The role includes hands-on development, production support, deployment and monitoring, and contributing to solutions that emphasize performance, stability, security, and automation. This helps ensure Banner’s mission critical platforms remain reliable and effective across the organization. The typical schedule for this role is Monday-Friday, 8:00 to 5:00p.m., with limited schedule flexibility. This position is remote, depending on location and business needs. An ideal candidate does not require a bachelor’s degree, though a degree is desirable, and will have 2–5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience with a strong understanding of platform capabilities and best practices. ServiceNow University training and active ServiceNow certifications are highly desirable. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong problem solving abilities, effective time management, clear communication skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating within a distributed team environment. This position is a highly experienced individual contributor in Development Operations. The DevOps Engineer will perform the tasks necessary to analyze, design, configure, implement and support PaaS solutions, related services, processes, applications, and integrations. This will involve working closely with IT functional areas, product owners and vendors to develop detailed design, execution and troubleshooting of strategic solutions in support of these systems. The position includes involvement with resolving application and configuration issues/concerns, providing ongoing analysis of performance, implementation of approved changes, and ensuring continual service improvements. This position will Ensure production systems run reliably, that availability, performance and business process SLAs are met or exceeded and manage Cloud services that span storage, security, networking, and compute cloud capabilities. Supports mission critical applications and associated platforms, ensuring the highest levels of availability, security, performance and stability are always maintained. Designs and build tools and solutions with a strong bias towards automating as many aspects of support as possible to reduce or eliminate trivial support activities. Ensures newly deployed systems / services can be integrated into the existing monitoring and management tools so that the performance of the service and deviations are easily anticipated and instrumented.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent working knowledge.
Must have in-depth knowledge of concepts within job function as would normally be obtained in two to four years' work experience in the field. Strong understanding of each service across the full IT lifecycle and be ready to take requests for infrastructure services, applications and environments. Experience designing solutions (Monitoring / process orchestration / capacity management / deployment) that can scale and potentially be leveraged by other parts of the organization. Hands on experience working in both Agile and DevOps development methodologies. Must possess strong knowledge of programming and cloud technology. Needs experience in medium scale project planning. Successful candidate will have skills to mentor less experienced team members. Requires strong communication and presentation skills to explain and resolve complex technical issues to technical and non-technical audiences. Requires ability to communicate and interact across facilities and at various levels. As is typical in this industry, variable shifts and hours and carrying/responding to a pager may be required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Cloud platform Certifications: AZ-103, AZ-203, and AZ-300. Significant development and operations / engineering experience with the ability to apply that knowledge to solve complex problems. Three to four years' experience implementing Enterprise Cloud Solutions Strong working knowledge of Java/C++/C#/.Net Core, hardware environment, and use of program logic.
Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
