Belay Technologies is seeking an Engineer to join our intel team. We are looking for a DevOps & Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and maintain our cloud infrastructure. This position will be hybrid in Columbia, MD. You will play a critical role in ensuring our AWS-based environment is secure, scalable, and efficient. From container orchestration (ECS, EKS) to infrastructure as code (Terraform) and CI/CD automation (GitHub Actions), you’ll work with modern DevOps practices to streamline deployments and improve system reliability.
Responsibilities:
Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure on AWS using ECS, EKS, and Terraform
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions for automated deployments
Implement secrets management using AWS Secrets Manager and HashiCorp Vault
Monitor and troubleshoot system performance using AWS CloudWatch, Prometheus, and OpenTelemetry
Enhance security by managing IAM roles, AWS Inspector scans, and security best practices
Perform infrastructure testing and validation using Terratest
Support error and performance tracking through AWS X-Ray and OpenTelemetry
Work closely with frontend, backend, and security teams to optimize cloud deployments
Candidates should have the following qualifications:
TS/SCI Clearance with polygraph
Bachelor's Degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, Engineering Etc.
Expertise in AWS infrastructure (IAM, ECS, EKS, Cognito, S3, CloudWatch)
Strong experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC)
Hands-on experience with container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, EKS)
Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
Experience implementing secrets management with AWS Secrets Manager or HashiCorp Vault
Knowledge of security best practices, including IAM roles and AWS Inspector
Candidates are desired to have the following skills:
Experience with Terratest for infrastructure validation
Exposure to frontend and backend technologies (React, Angular, Kotlin, Spring Boot)
Familiarity with performance tuning for cloud-based applications

Salary Range: $70,000 to $190,000
