DevOps Engineer

• Your eyes on: the setup, operation, maintenance and further development of an existing network and cloud infrastructure as well as the creation of new systems on our customers' cloud platforms.
• This also includes building Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery pipelines. Clearly, you won't stop there; continuous development will be a matter close to your heart. 
• It goes without saying that you take system documentation and monitoring seriously.
• The really great thing is: you don't do all this alone, but together with your DevOps team and cross-functionally with UX/UI designers, frontend developers, developers, and testers. Because, as always: better together, and all that...
• But you know how it is: As a DevOps engineer, you'll inevitably have to do the occasional on-call shift.
• However – and this is really great – at ida you have the opportunity to significantly shape and improve the digital offerings of media companies. And the best part: a truly fantastic and motivated team awaits you.

This is what you bring with you

• Experience in handling and operating virtualization, container and cloud platforms (kvm, podman, kubernetes, GCP)
• Very good Linux knowledge
• You know: Networking and routing machines isn't magic. So you should also understand something about DNS, firewalls, and ingress/egress.
• Furthermore, you bring experience in operating infrastructures (nginx, PHP, PostgreSQL, podman/docker, K8s) with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab), orchestration (ansible) and infrastructure-as-code (OpenTofu/terraform). 
• In an emergency, you're pragmatic. Nice! But then you're also keen to turn that quick, pragmatic solution into a long-term one. Because you know: temporary solutions aren't meant to last forever.
• You have already worked in a Scrum team and are genuinely looking for real challenges.
