As a DevOps Engineer (m/f/d) in the DevEx team, you will support us in continuously improving our Internal Developer Platform (IDP) . Your goal is to make our developers' daily work more efficient through automated processes and streamlined workflows. You will be involved in the implementation of new features and learn how to sustainably eliminate friction points in software delivery. Depending on your location , you will either work with your team twice a week at our headquarters in Erkrath or have the option to work remotely up to 100% of the time .
- You will contribute to the implementation of self-service functions within our Internal Developer Platform and to the development of CI/CD pipelines in GitLab .
- Furthermore, you will support the establishment of modern deployment workflows using ArgoCD .
- Together with your team , you will support development teams in taking responsibility for their services – from code commit to operation in the cluster.
- Furthermore, you automate application deployment with Helm.
- You will learn best practices in cloud-native development and apply them in real projects under guidance.
- You contribute to the continuous improvement of the Developer Journey tools and provide support with technical questions.
Qualifications
- You have completed technical training, a degree in computer science, or have already gained initial practical professional experience in the DevOps environment or software development.
- You have already had initial contact with tools such as GitLab CI, Docker or Kubernetes and are keen to deepen your knowledge of ArgoCD, Helm and Terraform / OpenTofu .
- You are characterized by a strong willingness to learn and the motivation to familiarize yourself with complex cloud infrastructures.
- You enjoy working in a team , are service-oriented, and take pleasure in simplifying processes through automation.
- Ideally, you have an interest in cloud technologies and want to develop into an expert in this field.
- To ensure you can communicate effectively within your team, you need very good German skills (C1 level or higher) and good English skills (B2 level or higher) .
