Job Description




We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer  with a strong focus on Jenkins pipeline development and maintenance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing Jenkins pipelines libraries, as well as upgrading Jenkins to the latest versions to ensure a smooth and efficient CI/CD process. Additionally, Jenkins is set up and managed using Ansible, and knowledge of Docker, and Linux is essential. Experience with Kubernetes and cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS will be considered a bonus.
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
  • Design, Develop, and Maintain Jenkins Pipelines: Create, optimize, and troubleshoot Jenkins pipeline scripts using Groovy to automate the CI/CD process for various projects;
  • Jenkins Upgrades and Maintenance: Plan, test, and execute Jenkins upgrades to ensure the system is up-to-date with the latest features, performance improvements, and security patches;
  • Ansible Automation for Jenkins Setup: Utilize Ansible for automating Jenkins setup, configuration, and maintenance to ensure consistency and scalability across environments;
  • Monitor and Optimize Jenkins Performance: Monitor Jenkins instances, troubleshoot issues, and optimize the performance and reliability of the CI/CD environment;
  • Documentation and Best Practices: Create and maintain documentation for pipeline configurations, upgrade procedures, and best practices for continuous integration and delivery;
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with development and QA teams to ensure the CI/CD pipeline aligns with project requirements and promotes efficient delivery cycles;
  • Ensure Security and Compliance: Implement security best practices in Jenkins pipelines and ensure compliance with company standards and policies.









  • Proven Experience with Jenkins: Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience with Jenkins, including pipeline as code (Jenkinsfile) development and maintenance;
  • Jenkins Upgrades: Demonstrated experience upgrading Jenkins versions, including pre-upgrade testing, troubleshooting, and rollback procedures;
  • Ansible Automation: Experience with Ansible for Jenkins setup, configuration, and automation;
  • Docker, and Linux: Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Docker, and Linux environments;
  • Scripting Skills: Proficiency in Groovy, Python, Shell scripting, or similar languages used in Jenkins pipeline development;
  • CI/CD and DevOps Tools: Familiarity with version control (Git) and infrastructure as code principles;
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve Jenkins-related issues promptly;
  • Team Player: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
 
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Cloud Experience: Familiarity with Azure, AWS environments and their integration with CI/CD pipelines;
  • Security Practices: Knowledge of security practices for Jenkins and CI/CD pipelines;
  • Monitoring Tools: Familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or similar;
  • Kubernetes: knowledge and hands-on experience with Kubernetes.
