As a DevOps Architect, you will be at the core of designing, scaling, and optimizing next-generation lab infrastructures that power cutting-edge cybersecurity training. This role blends innovation, strategy, and technical mastery, giving you the opportunity to shape how thousands of learners interact with real-world environments. You’ll lead the architecture of complex multi-cloud systems, automate deployments, and improve performance, scalability, and resilience. Working in a global remote team, you’ll collaborate with brilliant engineers, influence best practices, and help build secure, efficient, and dynamic DevOps ecosystems that make a tangible global impact.
Accountabilities
- Design and lead the architecture of complex, multi-tier deployment environments using OpenStack and hybrid cloud systems.
- Build scalable, secure, and cost-effective infrastructures optimized for performance and resiliency.
- Develop automated pipelines enabling rapid deployment of multi-VM environments with network isolation and static IPs.
- Partner with engineering teams to anticipate infrastructure needs and drive Infrastructure-as-Code adoption.
- Implement advanced CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and automation frameworks such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Oversee monitoring, observability, and disaster recovery strategies to ensure reliability and continuity.
- Architect secure network topologies including VPNs, VLANs, and firewalls tailored to isolated lab environments.
- Mentor teams, define best practices, and foster a culture of continuous improvement across DevOps operations.
Requirements- 4+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering, including 2+ years in an architect-level role.
- Proven expertise in OpenStack management, optimization, and large-scale deployment.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, and GCP cloud platforms.
- Advanced knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, VPNs, VLANs, firewalls) and systems administration (Linux, Windows AD).
- Proficiency in automation tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, and GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex infrastructure projects with a focus on cost efficiency and security.
- Excellent problem-solving mindset, strong communication skills, and a proactive approach to innovation.
- Bonus: experience in cybersecurity, vulnerability research, or open-source contributions.
