We are seeking an experienced and proactive Cloud Infrastructure Engineer/DevOps Engineer to oversee, automate, and manage our environment efficiently.

Job Title: Cloud Infrastructure Engineer/DevOps Engineer

Position: Open-Ended Contract Role
Location: Philippines (remote)

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cloud Infrastructure Management:
  • Manage and maintain AWS infrastructure, including EC2, ALB, CloudFront, and S3, across multiple regions to ensure optimal performance, high availability, and security.
  • Provisioning and Automation:
  • Utilize Pulumi to create and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions for automated provisioning and configuration.
  • Monitoring and Optimization:
  • Monitor system performance using New Relic and proactively resolve issues. Optimize resource usage for cost efficiency and performance.
  • Deployment Automation:
  • Manage and enhance deployment pipelines with Octopus Deploy, ensuring seamless releases aligned with CI/CD best practices.
  • Backup and Disaster Recovery:
  • Develop and implement robust backup and disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity and business continuity.
  • Security Management:
  • Implement and monitor cloud security best practices, access controls, and compliance with relevant industry standards.
  • Collaboration and Support:
  • Collaborate with development teams to support deployments and resolve infrastructure issues. Offer technical expertise to improve team effectiveness.
  • Documentation:
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of cloud architecture, operational procedures, and policies to ensure knowledge sharing and continuity.

Key Competencies and Experience:
Minimum Requirements:
  • Experience: 5+ years in cloud infrastructure management, preferably within AWS, with expertise in EC2, ALB, CloudFront, and S3.
  • Skills: Proficiency in Pulumi (IaC), scripting (Python, Bash), and CI/CD tools like Octopus Deploy.
  • Monitoring Tools: Experience with New Relic or similar monitoring tools.
  • Database Knowledge: Familiarity with RavenDB Cloud or other NoSQL databases.
  • Automation: Proven experience in automating deployment, scaling, and system health checks.
  • Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer preferred.
  • Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, effective communication, and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
