About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Cloud Engineer in Test to join our growing engineering team. As a Cloud Engineer in Test, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our cloud-based platform and services. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing test strategies and frameworks, automating test cases, and collaborating closely with developers and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality releases. This role requires a strong understanding of cloud technologies, testing methodologies, and automation frameworks.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop comprehensive test strategies and plans for cloud-based applications and services.
  • Create and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts for various levels of testing (e.g., unit, integration, system, security).
  • Execute test cases, analyze results, and report defects using a bug tracking system.
  • Collaborate with developers to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability and quality.
  • Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies.  
  • Research and evaluate new testing tools and technologies.
  • Monitor and analyze application performance in cloud environments.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies and testing trends.
  • Work closely with DevOps teams to ensure smooth deployments and releases.
  • Document test plans, test cases, and test results.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in software testing, with a focus on cloud-based applications.
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript). (Python Prefered)
  • Experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Cypress, Playwright). [Pytest + Cypress Preferred].
  • Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, RestAssured).
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins).
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.  
  • Networking Knowledge is a plus
  • Experience with security testing is a plus.
