ABOUT THIS ROLE:The selected candidate will play a pivotal role on the team, collaborating closely with the Engineer and Architect under the guidance of the Project Manager and Product Owner. They will be tasked with developing and implementing a secure network architecture that aligns with the requirements specified by the Product Owner. This role involves ensuring continuity of access and operations by maintaining a comprehensive knowledge base of critical development information. Additionally, the candidate will design and develop the Organization’s environment using industry-standard security protocols to safeguard data and enhance our cloud solutions. They will work intimately with the team, including the Project Manager to gather requirements and aid in the development of network-related features. Staying updated with the latest cloud services, features, trends, and best practices, the candidate will also provide recommendations on adopting new technological advancements to keep our systems at the forefront of innovation.REQUIRED SKILLS:Clearance Level: Top Secret/SCI with Full Scope PolygraphPRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Designing and implementing scalable and secure cloud infrastructures
- TCP/IP, HTTP, IP routing, NAT, VPC, VPN, VPS, network protocols, dedicated connections, firewalls, DNS, subnets, encryption, cloud internet services and load balancing
- Use AWS
- Design and implementing cloud-based solutions including computing, Storage, Networking, Security, and Monitoring
- Work across multi-cloud network environments
- Cloud networking using VNET, VPC, VPNs, firewalls, routing tables, Express Routes, Direct Connects, network protocols, and peering
- Traffic engineering (AWS – VPC, transit gateway, CloudWatch, security groups, and ELB) and (Azure – VNET, VPN gateway, firewall, and Front Door)
- Understanding cloud security principles and best practices, including identity and access management, encryption, firewall configurations, and network security groups
- Capacity planning, disaster recovery planning, and security audits
- Creating detailed documentation of network designs and configurations
- Monitoring and analyzing network performance metrics.
HIGHLY DESIRED SKILLS
- Bachelor’s or Graduate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field or equivalent combination of industry-related professional experience and education.
- A&A workflows and tools
- Organization’s security requirements and systems.
- Monitoring system performance and recommending corrective action.
- Installing and troubleshooting applications in a cloud environment using Azure and GCP.
- Traffic engineering and Azure – VNET, VPN gateway, firewall, and Front Door.
CERTIFICATION(S):- AWS Certification or other relevant Certifications
