This position may be filled remotely, or in any of our locations.
The Cloud Engineer works under the supervision of the Manager – Cloud Engineering. They provide services to the firm through the design, documentation, implementation, and administration of the firm’s evolving enterprise network and systems. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Essential job functions include:
- Configure and maintain Microsoft Server Operating Systems (Windows 10/11, Windows Server 2016 and newer) for the Firm’s enterprise class environment including routers, switches and Wi-Fi AP’s.
- Support desktop and server application distribution and updates, via Microsoft Update Management Center, Intune/Microsoft Endpoint Manager, AVD (Azure Virtual Desktop), Scripting and Group Policy.
- Responsible for deploying, managing and maintaining information technology solutions, including Windows servers and Cloud systems.
- Microsoft ADS (Active Directory Services) and Azure Active Directory design, support, and implementation.
- Responsible for defining, implementing and enforcing security frameworks for existing and new systems.
- Ensures successful implementation and maintenance of defined standards.
- Implements and maintains anti-virus and anti-malware solutions.
- Uses ITIL best practice to plan, document, and transition services into the production environment; continues to review and improve.
- Supports other infrastructure solutions such as SQL Server, Intune, Azure, AWS, Office365, AppSense, Azure Files, Illumio, SentinalOne, CheckPoints, PaloAlto.
- Design, support, and maintain printing and scanning environments, while providing technical input into the creation of a firm enterprise standard.
- Assist in inventory control and asset management.
- Assist Director – IT Operations in disaster recovery planning, testing, and implementation.
- Respond, based on priority, to end user issues routed by the IT HelpDesk Analysts.
- Make recommendations to the Manger of Cloud Engineering, Director – Cloud Infrastructure and Director – IT Operations on patches, reconfigurations, and/or new products that will enhance the firms’ technical systems.
- Provide technical assistance to others within the Information Technology department, as well as to firm users. This assistance includes periodic on call duty and work outside of normal business hours. This also includes special project duties as assigned by the Director – IT Operations and/or other department management personnel.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to design and implement technology solutions to business problems.
- Ongoing self-education.
- Document processes to be used by the Engineering and Administration team.
- Partner with the Security team to manage security related applications.
Position Requirements
- 4-year degree with major coursework in Information Technology or related field; or combination of education and commensurate work experience required.
- 5 years’ relevant experience required, preferably in a professional services environment.
- Experience in managing technology and infrastructure projects.
- Keyboarding skills and familiarity with computer software and network systems.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Employees are entitled to compensation commensurate with skill and experience. The exact compensation will vary based on skills, experience, location, and other factors permitted by law. The expected compensation ranges for this position in various states and jurisdictions are as follows:
- State of California: $82,000 - $156,000
- State of Colorado: $75,000 - $134,000
- State of Illinois: $74,000 - $143,000
- Jersey City, NJ: $89,000 - 161,000
- State of Maryland: $79,000 - $120,000
- State of Massachusetts: $82,000 - $156,000
- State of Minnesota: $82,000 - $135,000
- State of New York: $76,000 - $164,000
- State of Washington: $79,000 - $150,000
- Washington, D.C.: $106,000 - $155,000
The above salaries do not include a discretionary bonus, however bonus opportunities are non-guaranteed, and are dependent upon individual and firm performance.
