The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking a driven, innovative, and mission‑focused AWS Cloud Engineer to help shape and accelerate our next-generation cloud environments. In this role, you will design and automate modern AWS infrastructure, build resilient cloud-native platforms, and strengthen operational reliability across mission-critical systems. You’ll partner closely with security, DevOps, and application teams to engineer scalable, secure, and forward‑leaning cloud solutions that support high‑visibility programs.

Responsibilities:
• Architect, deploy, and optimize AWS cloud infrastructure built for security, scale, and performance.
• Build Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform—including modular design, versioning, and automation patterns.
• Create, refine, and maintain reusable Terraform modules that elevate team velocity and consistency.
• Develop automated CI/CD pipelines to streamline infrastructure releases and reduce operational friction.
• Continuously monitor system performance, availability, cost efficiency, and operational health.
• Lead and support migration, modernization, and cloud adoption initiatives across diverse environments.
• Partner with application, cybersecurity, and DevOps teams to deliver robust, secure, cloud-native services.
• Automate manual processes to improve reliability and reduce time-to-deploy.
• Troubleshoot complex cloud infrastructure issues with precision, performing root cause analysis and long-term remediation.
• Define and uphold cloud governance standards, IaC best practices, and operational frameworks


Qualifications

Required:

   Active TS/SCI w/ polygraph security clearance

  • 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure engineering, or related technical fields
  • Deep hands-on experience across core AWS services: EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, CloudWatch, RDS, Lambda, – ECS/EKS, Route 53, ALB/NLB
  • Strong proficiency with Terraform for provisioning, lifecycle management, and modular IaC development.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps
  • Solid understanding of Linux administration and networking fundamentals
  • Experience with monitoring/logging/observability tooling and practices
  • Strong grasp of cloud security principles, IAM governance, and compliance requirements

​Desired:

  • AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, SysOps Administrator).
  • Experience with Kubernetes (EKS preferred).           
  • Experience with containerization (Docker).           
  • Experience with Python, Bash, or scripting languages.           
  • Exposure to FinOps and cloud cost management.           
  • Experience supporting production environments with uptime and incident response expectations.

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
