The Cloud Engineer works closely with a team of dedicated multi-disciplined professionals in supporting customer mission objectives. You'll work on Developing, Engineering, and Fielding of hardware and software solutions and services in direct support of the United States Central Command (USCENTCOM). You will collaborate with coworkers, partners, stakeholders, and users to create effective solutions, providing delivery and support for next-generation technologies across a wide-range of services and emerging capabilities that bridge the gap between traditional networks and systems, cloud compute technologies, and other emerging technology. We are specifically looking for a skilled technician who can integrate, test, and deploy container solutions, including Docker, Kubernetes, and similar services. This role requires a strong understanding of containerization technologies and the ability to work independently on critical aspects of assigned projects.
Responsibilities:
The Cloud Engineer’s key responsibilities include:

- Develop and execute test plans to ensure the reliability and performance of containerized solutions.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate container solutions into the CI/CD pipeline.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to container deployment and orchestration.
- Monitor and optimize the performance of containerized applications.
- Maintain documentation for container solutions and deployment processes.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in containerization and cloud-native technologies.
- Provide test reports and special deployment instructions and contribute to all service, system, and cybersecurity documentation for system design documents, test plans, version description documents, engineering requirements matrix, and software/hardware testing documents.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to design and implement infrastructure solutions that align with command requirements.
- Ensure deployed solutions comply with all applicable security policies, regulations, and best practices.
- Work as a reliable member of the team to provide guidance to junior engineers and team members, facilitating a stronger foundational understanding of the systems that enable our operations.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose and remediate a variety of systems issues that may not have previously documented solutions (Incident/Problem Management)
- Review and prepare documentation for systems, tests, and process guides.
- Support projects for a variety of initiatives to enhance the efficiency, capability, or security of the environment.
- Collaborate with other enterprise IT teams to address operational requirements.
- Produce various data sets and informational packets to management to support ongoing efforts for process improvements.
Qualifications:
Required:
-
