About This Position
The Cloud Engineer is a client-facing role focused on helping organizations adopt, secure, and optimize cloud technologies including AWS, Azure, GCP and Microsoft 365. This role involves leading cloud transformation projects, performing technical assessments, hardening cloud environments, and supporting cost modeling and governance. You’ll work closely with clients to design and implement scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions that align with business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead cloud adoption and transformation projects across AWS, Azure, GCP and Microsoft 365
- Perform cloud readiness and security assessments, identifying risks and opportunities for improvement
- Design and implement secure, scalable cloud architectures and services
- Harden cloud environments by applying best practices in identity, access, networking, and compliance
- Configure and manage Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, and related identity and endpoint services
- Develop automation scripts and infrastructure-as-code templates using PowerShell, AWS CLI, or Python
- Support cost modeling, budgeting, and optimization strategies for cloud environments
- Collaborate with project managers and clients to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions
- Provide technical guidance during pre-sales engagements and contribute to solution design
- Create and maintain documentation and governance frameworks
Qualifications, Requirements & Preferred Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; relevant certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, or Microsoft 365 Administrator are preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure, or IT consulting roles
- Proven hands-on experience with AWS (EC2, IAM, S3, VPC), Azure (VMs, networking, storage), and Microsoft 365 (Entra ID, Intune, Teams, SharePoint)
- Experience performing cloud security assessments, hardening cloud environments, and implementing governance frameworks
- Familiarity with scripting and automation using PowerShell, AWS CLI, or Python
- Experience with cloud cost modeling, budgeting, and optimization strategies
- Excellent analytical, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated strong written and oral communication skills, including strong relationship-building skills and leadership capabilities
