The Intelligence Programs Group, part of Systems Planning and Analysis Inc.’s Space and Intelligence Division, is a specialized provider of systems engineering and trusted advisory services to the Space and National Intelligence community.  We utilize mission-proven, data-driven advisory tools and capabilities.  We provide highly technical support to ensure the government acquires cutting edge technology necessary for our National Defense.  Our portfolio includes the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA), National Reconnaissance Office (NRO), and National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).  Come where you will be part of our high-caliber team!

 

 

We are seeking a highly motivated Cloud Engineer to join a dynamic and mission oriented team. The engineer will conceptualize, develop, and implement complex cloud systems designed to meet client requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Migrate and integrate systems into a cloud environment
  • Integrate cloud services and tools using shell scripting and Python programming
  • Design, develop, implement, and test new systems or modify existing systems that meet the user's needs
  • Assist with planning and engineering the organization’s cloud computing infrastructure and applications

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • BS in Computer Science or related field and 9+ years of experience
  • Must be DoD 8570 IAT Level II compliant (e.g. current CompTIA, Security+ CE certification)
  • Experience in designing and deploying cloud solutions to Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud (GCP)
  • Experience using VPCs, S3, IAM, EC2, Lambda, WorkSpaces, CloudWatch, Directory Services and SSM
  • Operating Systems experience with various Linux and Windows distributions
  • Strong analytical and collaboration skills
  • Excellent verbal/written communications and the ability to work well independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to explain technical issues clearly and accurately to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong customer service skills, teaming skills, and the ability to collaborate within a cross-functional team as well as the cloud service providers (AWS, Microsoft, Google)
  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph

Preferred Qualifications:

  • An active AWS Cloud Certification – AWS Developer or AWS SysOps Administrator
  • Familiarity with various cloud technologies such as Software as a Service (SaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), or Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS)
  • Ability to program in Python and experience having written Lambda function
  • Experience migrating both custom built and enterprise apps to from on-prem to cloud
  • Experience in debugging performance and technical issues
  • Experience in building and deploying systems on the Cloud, using CI/CD frameworks and Infrastructure automation
