Azure Cloud Engineer

Location: Bangalore

Experience: 3-6 years

As an Azure Cloud Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and managing Microsoft Azure Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) solutions, Azure Backup, Azure Site Recovery (ASR), Azure Monitor, and related technologies. Your expertise in Azure PowerShell and Terraform will be instrumental in automating and optimizing cloud infrastructure deployments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, and manage Microsoft Azure IaaS solutions to meet client requirements.
  • Implement and maintain Azure Backup and Azure Site Recovery (ASR) solutions to ensure data protection and disaster recovery readiness.
  • Configure and monitor Azure resources using Azure Monitor and other relevant tools to ensure optimal performance and availability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement cloud-based solutions that align with client objectives.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) templates using Azure PowerShell and Terraform to automate deployment and management tasks.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Azure cloud services, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal system performance.
  • Stay current with Azure updates, best practices, and industry trends to continuously improve our cloud services offerings.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members as needed.
  • Participate in on-call rotation for critical support issues.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 3-6 years of hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and managing Microsoft Azure cloud solutions.
  • Proficiency in Azure services such as Azure IaaS, Azure Backup, Azure Site Recovery, and Azure Monitor.
  • Strong scripting and automation skills using Azure PowerShell and Terraform.
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) practices and tools.
  • Knowledge of cloud security best practices and compliance standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect) are a plus.
  • Familiarity with other cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud) is a bonus.
