Responsibilities
Develop and implement the organizationβs cloud strategy, including cloud adoption plans, cloud application design, and cloud management and monitoring.
Design scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems on Azure.
Identify appropriate use of Azure operational best practices and architectural design patterns.
Plan and execute the migration of complex, multi-tier applications to Azure.
Implement and manage security measures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR).
Monitor and optimize cloud resource usage and costs.
Implement cost control mechanisms for Azure cloud-based resources.
Provide architectural guidance and expertise to other IT personnel, including software developers and systems engineers.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Azure services with on-premises networks as required.
Design and implement disaster recovery and business continuity strategies on Azure.
Stay updated with the latest Azure updates and improvements to provide optimal solutions.

Qualifications
5-7 years of IT experience, with at least 3+ years in Azure architecture and design.
Bachelorβs degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field. Related Experience in place of degree accepted.
Azure certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect or Azure Administrator.
Proficiency in Azure services, IaaS, PaaS, and experience with tools like Terraform, Azure CLI, Puppet, and Ansible
Deep understanding of Azure services, including compute, storage, networking, and databases.
Proficiency in scripting languages like PowerShell, Azure CLI, Python, or Perl to automate tasks and manage resources efficiently.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform ARM templates, and Ansible to automate infrastructure deployment and management.
Knowledge of cloud security best practices and data protection
Knowledge of DevOps principles and tools like Azure DevOps, Jenkins, and Git for continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD).
Understanding of cloud security best practices and compliance requirements (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR) to ensure data protection and regulatory adherence.
Familiarity with virtual networks, VPNs, load balancers, and other networking components within Azure.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly.
