We are seeking a highly skilled Azure Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and manage modern cloud solutions across our Microsoft Azure environment. This role plays a key part in building scalable, secure, and high‑performing cloud infrastructure that supports our business growth. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to architect data solutions, optimize cloud operations, and drive strategic cloud initiatives.

Cloud Architecture & Deployment

  • Design and deploy Azure‑native infrastructure solutions.
  • Build high‑scale data solutions using Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, and Azure Data Lake Storage.
  • Develop and maintain ETL/ELT processes, data pipelines, and data warehousing solutions.
  • Migrate legacy workloads and business processes to Azure with minimal disruption.
  • Optimize cloud architecture for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.

Security & Compliance

  • Implement Azure security best practices including RBAC, Key Vault, and Microsoft Defender.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as CCPA and GDPR.
  • Monitor and remediate vulnerabilities using Azure Security Center.

Automation & DevOps

  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning using ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform.
  • Integrate monitoring and logging through Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.

Operations & Support

  • Implement cost‑control strategies using Azure Advisor, Reserved Instances, and budget alerts.
  • Monitor and tune performance across compute, storage, and networking resources.
  • Troubleshoot cloud performance issues and outages.

Leadership & Strategy

  • Collaborate with developers, data engineers, and business stakeholders to align cloud solutions with organizational goals.
  • Provide guidance on cloud strategy, governance, and cost optimization.
  • Conduct capacity planning and usage forecasting.
  • Stay current with Azure innovations and recommend adoption where beneficial.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of Azure‑based data modeling, data warehousing, ETL/ELT processes, and data pipelines.
  • Hands‑on experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure Databricks, and Power BI.
  • Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
  • Relevant Microsoft Azure certification (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert) preferred.
  • Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of hands‑on experience working with Microsoft Azure.
  • Azure certifications such as AZ‑104, AZ‑305, or AZ‑500 strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency with PowerShell, Azure CLI, SQL, Python, and scripting languages.
