Position Description: On-Premise Mid-Level Cloud Engineer

;ZTI is seeking an experienced Mid-Level Cloud Engineer to work as a member of a team managing and maintaining multiple coalition Mission Partner network enclaves in support of the DoD community. The Cloud Engineer will work as part of a team to design, implement, and maintain enclaves' virtual infrastructure in both AWS and Azure Cloud. The Cloud Engineer position is a demanding, high-energy role that requires innovative solutions to network, hardware, and software problems. The ideal candidate has exceptional problem-solving skills and a breadth of expertise in cloud networking concepts, modern CI/CD pipeline, platform automation, and infrastructure development supporting these technologies.

The candidate will work in a hybrid onsite/remote capacity in offices located in Fairfax VA. The candidate may also be required to travel to Springfield, VA and/or Adelphi, MD for weekly customer site support, as well as CONUS and OCONUS sites, as needed.

Primary Position Requirements include:
- Integrate with, and support, a team of subject matter experts in a highly agile environment, to implement best-in-class, multi-cloud solutions.
- Leverage a variety of automation, instance, and/or container, orchestration, security, and native/non-native cloud services for large DoD program(s).
- Architect, design, implement, and maintain cloud solutions and new capabilities in AWS/Azure.
- Assist in partner network integration, testing, and monitoring.
- Develop and maintain software solutions / scripts to support automation of cloud configuration and administration.
- Support security audits, accreditation and certification processes, and obtaining approval to operate (ATO) for cloud-based system architectures.
- Install operating systems and application software in cloud compute environments.
- Monitor cloud-based systems and components for availability, performance, reliability, security, efficiency, and ability to meet non-functional requirements and service level agreements.
- Define, document, and implement procedures for backup of on-premise and cloud-based systems and data.
- Define and implement cloud-based solution architectures.
- Define and establish secure cloud configurations, including integration with on-premise SIEM.
- Establish federated identity solutions between on-premise and commercial clouds.
- Define and implement secure networking solutions between on-premise data centers and commercial clouds.
- Develop solutions integrating Microsoft Azure commercial clouds (public and government community) with services hosted on-premise and in other clouds.
- Communication and ability to train users in implementation or conversion of systems Required Skills.
- Experience with industry standard architecture frameworks.
- Understanding of FedRAMP requirements and cloud-based security controls.

;Requirements:
- Active Top-Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility.
- Bachelorβs Degree or higher in an Information Technology Field.
- 10+ years of experience.
- IAM-II Level Certification. (e.g. CAP, GSLC, CISM, CISSP, CASP)
- AWS Cloud Practitioner.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional or Associate.
- AWS Security.
- Azure Administrator Associate.
- Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
