This is a remote position.

AWS Engineer -

1. AWS Workspaces Requirements & Design
   


2. Design Directory integration for authentication purposes
   


3. Design VPC Structure to support workspaces (subnets, DNS, etc)
   


4. Design Security Groups & Roles
   


5. Design Workspaces layout and bundle assignment for users
   


6. Decide on Automation Schedule for Workspaces
   


7. Establish baseline application list
   


8. Design management components: backup, patching, monitoring
   


9. Create a user list and break into waves
   

EC2 Server Requirements & Design

1. Design Migration plan for existing Servers to consolidated instance types
   


2. Design EBS Volume Backup strategy
   


3. Confirm unused EBS volumes to be removed VPC Network Requirements & Design
   


4. Verify network routing for independent NAT gateways for AZs
   


5. Design Plan to establish new NAT gateways and traffic management
   


6. Verify DNS and routing for migrating to Route 53
   


7. Confirm unused VPN endpoints
   

AWS Workspaces Deploy

1. Deploy directory services and integrate into existing domain
   


2. Deploy VPC changes (subnets, DNS, etc)
   


3. Deploy and Configure Security Groups & IAM Roles
   


4. Prepare Applications / Package & Assign to Groups
   


5. Deploy Workspaces based on design bundles
   


6. Deploy & Configure management components: backup, patching, monitoring
   


7. Assign Users
   


8. Support Pilot Test
   

EC2 Server Deploy

1. Perform pre-migration EBS backups
   


2. Migrate existing Servers to m5.xlarge instance types
   


3. Configure EBS volumes to 200 GB
   


4. Remove unused EBS volumes
   

VPC Network Deploy

1. Establish new NAT gateways for unmapped AZs
   


2. Configure AWS Route 53 for private DNS resolution
   


3. Deploy subnets for each usage type
   


4. Clean up route tables
   


5. Deploy Client VPN endpoints
