Our client is looking for an experienced Applications Developer. The successful candidate will be responsible for application development services and maintenance of new and existing cloud server infrastructure, customer-built applications, data engineering, analytics and services that enable the mission.
Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen, located in the Washington D.C./Baltimore area and possess an active TS SCI clearance w/ full scope poly.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the customer and other contractors to develop and implement data engineering applications and data engineering activities in an AWS environment.
• Develop and implement data analytics in an AWS environment.
• Develop and implement front-end web applications in an AWS environment.
• Develop and maintain software applications, including complex web applications and user interfaces.
• Develop and maintain databases.
• Support the customer’s current environment providing AWS services, software development, and data engineering expertise.
• Create and design applications that include reasonable accommodations in design to optimize user interaction and experience.
• Support the ingestion, cataloging, and analysis of structured and unstructured data provided via various streams from a variety of data sources.
• Analyze and study complex system requirements.
• Design software tools to support software reuse and domain analyses.
• Translate detailed design into computer software.
• Implement COTS packages.
• Prepare documentation such as program, user, and security documentation.
• Enhance software to improve efficiency.
• Provide technical guidance regarding software engineering techniques.
• Provide technical guidance regarding automated support tools.
• Maintain infrastructure component baselines.
• Work in an Agile team environment.
• Manage relational databases such as MySQL or Oracle.
• Manage NoSQL databases such as Cassandra.
• Assist with designing the database architecture.
• Documenting the database architecture.
• Build database schemes, tables, procedures and permissions.
• Create shell scripts for task automation.
• Resolve technical issues related to the Data Environment.
Requirements
Required (Minimum) Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience implementing the ELK stack to include Elasticsearch, Filebeat, Logstash and Kibana.
Demonstrated experience programming in Angular, Python, Node.js, Avro, and Elasticsearch.
Demonstrated experience programming in a Scaled Agile Framework.
Demonstrated experience implementing middle-tier web services.
Demonstrated experience deploying DevOps managed Angular and Node.js based web app architecture.
Demonstrated experience with AWS cloud architecture concepts, development, and management.
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience implementing full stack solutions for large enterprise data analysis systems within the customers networks.
Demonstrated experience developing applications in the customers networks or environments, which support data processing and analytics.
Demonstrated experience implementing federal enterprise digital forensics applications on an agile development team.
Education/Certifications:
Required (Minimum):
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a scientific or technical discipline, plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
