As a DevOps Engineer, you'll play a critical role in ensuring our infrastructure supports seamless operations and exceptional product performance. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Infrastructure Automation & Optimisation: Design, implement, and maintain scalable, reliable infrastructure using tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
CI/CD Management: Develop, optimise, and manage CI/CD pipelines for smooth and rapid deployments.
Monitoring & Incident Response: Set up logging, monitoring, and alerting systems; respond quickly to incidents to minimise downtime.
Collaboration: Work closely with backend engineers, data scientists, and product teams to streamline development and operations.
Security & Compliance: Apply security best practices and perform regular infrastructure audits to ensure compliance.
Cost Optimisation: Manage cloud infrastructure costs effectively, optimising resource utilisation.
Continuous Improvement: Automate repetitive tasks and stay updated on the latest DevOps tools and practices.
Maintain high system uptime and availability.
Reduce deployment times through CI/CD optimisations.
Decrease incident response times with robust monitoring and alerting systems.
Support increased deployment frequency and improved system scalability.
Enhance security compliance and optimise cloud costs.
Strong experience with AWS.
Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
Expertise in containerisation/orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, ECS).
Knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
Experience with monitoring/logging tools (e.g., Datadog, CloudWatch).
Solid understanding of Linux systems administration and networking fundamentals.
Familiarity with cloud security best practices.
Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
Understanding of database optimisation for SQL/NoSQL systems.
Previous experience in fast-paced or start-up environments.
Familiarity with compliance standards (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2).
