About ES Foundation
ElasticScale was founded in October 2023 after our founder was frustrated with the state of cloud infrastructure at his last SaaS startup.
The ES Foundation platform consists of standardized and battle-tested Terraform modules that can be deployed in new cloud environments within hours. Giving SaaS companies a quicker time to market and ability to focus on their own product.
All Cloud infrastructure is connected to our state of the art AI powered portal that has detailed context about the cloud environments of the customer.
The Role: DevOps Engineer
As an early hire in the DevOps domain at ElasticScale, you will directly work with our founder, a seasoned entrepreneur. Your expertise will be crucial in expanding and refining our platform, ES Foundation.

The Role: DevOps Engineer
As an early hire in the DevOps domain at ElasticScale, you will directly work with our founder, a seasoned entrepreneur. Your expertise will be crucial in expanding and refining our platform, ES Foundation.
Responsibilities
Platform Development: Develop new and enhance existing Terraform modules for AWS and extend to GCP, including specific modules for VPC, encryption, container hosting, CI/CD, and static asset hosting.
Customer Integration: Onboard and integrate four SaaS customers per quarter, tailoring ES Foundation to their specific needs, including custom module development and environment migrations.
Continuous Improvement: Maintain and update onboarding documentation and processes, ensuring a high-quality, self-service customer experience.
Collaboration and Innovation: Work alongside the Portal development team to design and implement new features, such as drift detection and cost optimization algorithms.

Strong experience in managing cloud-native applications, ideally within a SaaS environment.
Proficiency in major cloud platforms (AWS & GCP), containerization technologies, and infrastructure as code (Terraform).
A commitment to agile methodologies, continuous improvement, and innovative approaches in cloud infrastructure.
Excellent communication abilities in a remote-first, global team environment.

The following is based on 40 hours:

A competitive gross monthly salary (€6,000 - €8,000 based on your experience).
Hardware budget (home office setup and top of the line Macbook Pro).
Education budget of €2.000 per year for conferences, courses and training.
